Khabari Integrated WASH Project
he Khabari Integrated WASH Project is being implemented by the Partnership for Sustainable Development Nepal (PSDN) in Gadhawa Rural Municipality–6, Dang District. The project is a community-centered model designed to deliver sustainable, inclusive, and resilient water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services. It ensures access to safe drinking water and dignified sanitation for 123 households, benefiting approximately 590 community members, as well as a community primary school serving 110 children. Beyond core WASH infrastructure, the project adopts an integrated development approach to strengthen long-term community resilience and well-being. Following completion of the first phase of water supply and sanitation construction, the initiative will expand to complementary sectors, including small-scale irrigation for food security, school infrastructure improvement, climate change mitigation, and other locally prioritized development needs. This integrated model promotes improved health, education outcomes, environmental sustainability, and livelihoods in a coordinated and sustainable manner. The project receives technical and financial support from the Engineers Without Borders (EWB)–USA Florida Chapter, ensuring quality implementation, community ownership, and long-term sustainability.
