Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Protection Initiatives
The Partnership for Sustainable Development Nepal (PSDN) has been working since its establishment to promote biodiversity conservation and environmental protection to sustain natural ecosystems for the well-being of present and future generations. Through community-based and participatory approaches, PSDN implements initiatives focused on wildlife conservation, restoration of water sources, forests, and degraded land, and protection of fragile and climate-vulnerable ecosystems.
PSDN also promotes clean and renewable energy solutions and environmentally responsible practices in environmentally threatened areas, integrating conservation with sustainable livelihoods and community resilience. These initiatives strengthen local capacity for natural resource management while ensuring long-term environmental sustainability.
PSDN’s work aligns with Nepal’s national environmental priorities and international frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and global climate and ecosystem restoration commitments. Through partnerships with communities, government institutions, and development partners, PSDN remains committed to protecting nature and building a sustainable and resilient future.
