Emergency Response and Recovery Support
The Partnership for Sustainable Development Nepal (PSDN) maintains a strong, rapid-response capacity to support communities affected by disasters and complex emergencies. PSDN stands ready to deliver timely emergency response and comprehensive recovery assistance, ensuring the protection of lives, livelihoods, and essential services during crisis situations and in their aftermath. During the last time earthquake in Barekot, Jajarkot District, PSDN successfully mobilized and deployed its field team within 24 hours, enabling immediate lifesaving interventions. Building on the emergency phase, PSDN initiated integrated recovery support focused on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), temporary and transitional shelter solutions, and the restoration of livelihoods for affected households. PSDN effectively mobilized and secured critical funding for emergency and recovery actions through strategic partnerships with the University of Florida and the I-WASH Foundation. Guided by humanitarian principles and community-cantered approaches, PSDN remains committed to sustained preparedness, rapid response, and resilient recovery to mitigate future risks and safeguard vulnerable populations.
